We were super excited about this project from the very beginning! It’s not every day that a client needs help with a log cabin. This husband and wife had slightly different visions when it came to the aesthetics of the space. She wanted it to feel fresh and put together, and his main concern was that it stay rustic; however, honoring the integrity of their weekend cabin, set in the countryside near Dickson, Tennessee, was a top priority for both of them.
After lots of discussing and planning, it was decided that the loft bedroom with tons of natural light would be the more feminine space, and the guest bedroom would become the bold, masculine retreat.
For the loft, we were immediately drawn to this handmade otomi quilt found on Etsy – always a go-to source of ours when we need unique pieces.
