Belmont-Hillsboro Renovation

MASTER BATH RENOVATION, KIDS' BEDROOMS DECOR

This home in the heart of the Belmont-Hillsboro neighborhood boasts new looks in a few special spaces, and their kitchen renovation is underway now!

For the master bathroom remodel, we sought to create a relaxing space that incorporates color, pattern, and visual texture. The design was inspired by the hand-painted Moroccan tile featured on the vanity wall and bath tub surround. Brass accents in the plumbing and lighting fixtures, mirrors and bath accessories contrast against the blues to provide warmth. A vintage rug brings some visual texture, as well as another pop of blue. We enlarged the steam shower area for a more luxurious experience. A curved shower ceiling and niche nod to the softness and beauty of the Moroccan-inspired design, while the dark blue ceiling tiles add texture and weight in an unexpected space. The brushed brass shower fixtures pop against the white tile walls, giving the shower area a clean brightness.

We created the layout of the bathroom and the design of the cabinetry and steam shower, in addition to all selections of tile, countertops, plumbing and lighting fixtures, paint colors, mirrors, bath accessories, art, and rug. Once the bathroom was complete, we assisted with styling of the vanity and selection of bath linens.

For the six-year-old’s pink bedroom, the decor was re-imagined with pink tassel drapes and a woodsy reading nook that was converted from an unused closet. In the bedroom shared by two young boys, the inspiration came from their favorite movie. It features a not-too-obvious theme with a custom bedside chest built to share, along with plenty of baskets and shelves to hold and display books and toys.
