This addition and full renovation project was designed for creative homeowners who wanted a home filled with personality, pattern, and color—without losing the integrity of the original structure. The goal was to thoughtfully modernize the home while honoring its historic charm, seamlessly blending old and new parts of the home.

The project involved redefining the existing floor plan alongside a new addition, allowing spaces to function better for family life while feeling joyful and expressive. Bold pattern and saturated color were key design drivers throughout. Statement tile selections and wallpaper bring energy and character to each space, creating a home that feels both welcoming and unmistakably personal.

Historic elements were carefully preserved and celebrated, including the original hex-patterned floor tile and cast iron tub in the guest bathroom. In contrast, playful new moments—like the bright pink range in the kitchen—add a fresh, modern edge. The kitchen is anchored by the vibrant range and complemented by a saturated green tile backsplash and patterned floor tile.

The overall result is a cheerful, colorful home that balances creativity with functionality—designed to support a family’s everyday life while expressing their bold, artistic spirit.
