Madison Craftsman Bungalow Addition/Renovation

This historic bungalow underwent a transformative two-story addition and full-scale renovation to meet the needs of a modern family while honoring its original 1925 Arts & Crafts character. The new addition includes an upstairs bedroom and flex space designed as a teen hangout, while downstairs features a serene primary suite, complete with a custom brass-clad vanity and an adjacent office with bespoke paneling.

The renovation also introduced a mudroom, laundry room, and screened porch at the rear of the home. A complete kitchen redesign—within the original footprint—allowed for increased counter space and improved functionality without expanding the space. Throughout the home, original doors and architectural salvage were seamlessly integrated, and custom millwork was crafted to match the original trim, ensuring the addition feels cohesive and true to the home’s historic charm.

We selected and specified all interior and exterior fixtures and finishes, as well as all décor, to create a cohesive, thoughtful design that blends past and present.
