Project Spotlight: West Meade New Construction

The design concept for this new construction home was a traditional aesthetic with clean lines and modern accents. In the kitchen, we utilized a bright, clean color palette to easily marry with furnishings in the open adjoining family room.

The kitchen features a classic white beveled tile backsplash and glass front upper cabinets. Quartzite countertops offer the look of marble with the durability and low maintenance of granite that our client desired. The traditional leg details on the island maintain the overall classic aesthetic of the home, and the contemporary pendant lighting brings a modern touch to the space.

The polished nickel fixtures and cabinet hardware add brightness to the space, and a bold blue runner provides a pop of color and texture. Soft gray linen upholstered counter stools are a simple and elegant seating solution. The oversized island provides ample space for food preparation and entertaining.

The butler’s pantry, just off the kitchen, features a tiled herringbone backsplash and sleek, shiny faucet. The cool gray cabinets ground the area for a pretty vignette from the kitchen.

The powder bath adds a different shine with the brushed bronze faucet and vanity sconce.

In the master bath, we wished to create an updated take on traditional design, with layers of rugs and bath linens for added interest, texture, and pattern. The star of the show is the large shower with a tile feature wall. Marble molding frames large mosaic panels filled with elongated marble hexagon tile. The resulting effect is dramatic, due to the size of the panels, but calming, because of the classic materials and color palette.

The home’s entry features a three-tiered mirrored chandelier, and a vintage rug adds history to the new space. Tucked in a side nook, an antique carved chair gives guests something to talk about as they enter. The wide foyer opens to the kitchen and family room.

Just off the entry, the study features detailed paneling and warm sconces for a rich feeling. A warm wood and leather chair paired with the vintage rug provides a pleasant reading nook.

The mudroom offers lots of storage above and below, perfect for a busy family! The wall hooks and show drawer storage make it easy to grab what they need before heading out the door.

Beautiful light fixtures throughout the home add the final touch to each room.
